The successful candidate will perform preventive maintenance, facility repairs, event support, and building operations tasks while ensuring a safe, efficient, and professional workplace environment. Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm. Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance on commercial building systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Conduct routine building rounds and inspections to identify maintenance needs and operational issues
- Complete painting, patching, carpentry, and general facility repair projects throughout the property
- Perform light plumbing and basic electrical repairs as needed
- Assist with meeting and event setups, furniture moves, and room reconfigurations
- Respond to service requests and troubleshoot building-related issues in a timely manner
- Monitor the operation of commercial cooling, HVAC, fire life safety, and other building systems
- Maintain accurate work order documentation and update maintenance records within the CMMS system
- Support energy management initiatives and ensure building systems operate efficiently
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and facility staff to complete maintenance projects and repairs
- Follow all safety policies, building procedures, and regulatory requirements
- 5+ years of experience in commercial building maintenance, facilities operations, or building engineering
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience troubleshooting and repairing building systems
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance practices
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance and routine repairs independently
- Experience using CMMS or work order management systems
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical maintenance activities including climbing ladders, bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods
- HVAC, EPA, electrical, or trade certifications
- Experience working with commercial cooling systems
- Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic experience
- Trade school education or vocational training
- Experience supporting corporate office or commercial real estate environments
