Accountant Department:Accounting ReportsTo:SeniorAccountant FLSAStatus:Exempt PositionSummary TheStaffAccountantisresponsibleforsupportingaccountingoperationsthroughownershipofkeycomponentsofthemonthlycloseprocess,accountreconciliations,financialreporting,andgeneraledgeractivity.Thisroleworkscloselywithothermembersoftheaccountingandoperationsteamtoensureaccurateandtimelyfinancialreportingacrossmultipleentitiesandsystems. Responsibilities General Ledger & Month-End Close Own and support components of the monthly close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Prepare work papers and journal entries for month end close. Prepare prepaid & accrual work papers, post to ERP. Sign off on required tasks in FloQast. Prepare a monthly & quarterly Profit and Loss Statements and Balance Sheets. Provide financial statements for consolidation purposes. Prepare elimination entries for Senior review. Perform variance analysis of various balance sheet and income statement accounts. Reconciliations & Cash Management Perform daily reconciliations of bank accounts. Perform weekly reconciliations of credit card accounts. Prepare monthly bank and credit card reconciliation work papers. Post cash to Sage & Procore. Work with Billing & A/P team to confirm all items are posted in ERP system. Fixed Asset and Audit Support Provides accounting for fixed asset related activity to include asset additions, retirements, depreciation, cost of removal, and salvage. Assist in annual financial statement audit. Support accounting compliance and internal control initiatives. Additional Responsibilities Complete other ad-hoc requests, reporting and schedules for team. Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within accounting workflows. Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA Designation preferred) from a 4-year college/university. Two+ years of related GL & Accounting experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
