Job Title: Carpenter II (Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm ) Location: Atlanta, Georgia Regular/Temporary: Regular Full/Part Time: Full-Time Job ID: 297537 Job Summary Serve as lead in performance of general carpentry work to include building, installing, repairing and maintaining of structures, furniture, doors, windows by assigning and directing work of carpentry personnel. May personally perform specialized or advanced level carpentry work. This position will interact consistently with supervisors, carpentry personnel, and helpers. This position typically will advise and counsel Carpentry Foreperson and other carpentry personnel. This position will supervise: NA. Responsibilities Assign duties, provide instruction and oversee work of other carpentry personnel in the building, installation, repair and maintenance of structures, framing, flooring, etc. Requisition materials and supplies. Prepare work reports. Build wood furniture and fixtures to include cabinets, tables, shelving, bulletin boards. Inspect finished work with regard to quality and adherence to specifications. Oversee maintenance of tools and equipment. Advise Carpentry Forepersons and others regarding performance of assigned personnel. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma. Four to six years of job related experience. Knowledge, skills, & abilities: advanced carpentry trade skills; ability to read and interpret sketches, prints and diagrams; operate and maintain various hand and power tools; maintain related records. Preferred Qualifications Valid Georgia Driver's License. Technical Diploma, Associate's Degree or two years college course work. Other Information Job Code: C7 Pay Range Starting At: $21.83/hr to $29.69/hr Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Must be able to pass a background check.
