IT Support Specialist

Salary: $55,000 - 65,000 per year Requirements:

• We require U.S. citizenship because of customer, contractual, regulatory, and access considerations tied to certain technologies, projects, facilities, and information in this role.
• We require the ability to reliably commute to our State College, Pennsylvania facility each business day.
• We require the ability to pass background screening and pre-employment drug testing.
• We require 3+ years of hands-on experience in desktop support, IT support, help desk, field support, or a similar technical support position.
• We require experience supporting Windows desktops and laptops in a business environment.
• We require experience troubleshooting computer hardware, software, printers, and common end-user technology issues.
• We require familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications and services.
• We require strong customer service, communication, organization, and documentation skills.
• We require the ability to work independently and balance multiple priorities.
• We prefer an associates or bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• We prefer experience in manufacturing, engineering, laboratory, or other highly technical environments.
• We prefer experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Group Policy, Microsoft Intune, or similar endpoint management tools.
• We prefer experience with endpoint security, patch management, and vulnerability remediation.
• We prefer familiarity with networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and wireless networking.

• We provide day-to-day support for desktops, laptops, monitors, docking stations, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and other business technology.
• We troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, connectivity, login, and application problems.
• We support Microsoft 365 tools and services, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office.
• We install, configure, deploy, and replace hardware and software.
• We assist with employee onboarding and offboarding.
• We support network printers, label printers, conference room technology, and related business systems.
• We maintain technology inventory, asset records, and technical documentation.
• We assist with workstation deployments, hardware refreshes, and equipment relocations.
• We help with endpoint security, patch management, antivirus upkeep, and vulnerability remediation.
• We support engineering, laboratory, testing, and manufacturing technology systems.
• We coordinate escalated support issues, cybersecurity efforts, infrastructure projects, and system changes with our managed services provider.
• We document support requests, resolutions, procedures, and recurring issues.

Based in State College, Pennsylvania, we have been delivering innovative technology solutions for more than 40 years. This is a full-time, on-site role supporting employees across office, engineering, laboratory, manufacturing, and testing environments. The work involves hands-on technology support, equipment deployment, and occasional lifting of computer equipment, along with occasional regional travel of roughly 100 miles to support remote offices, home offices, and other business needs.
