Senior Systems Engineer

Torch Technologies is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management Division (C3BM) and its Mission Integration Team (MIT) on integrated Air Force Battle Networks. Responsibilities Provide systems engineering support throughout the acquisition lifecycle including requirements analysis, system design, integration, sustainment, and disposal activities. Translate operational and functional requirements into technical requirements for the MIT. Participate in architecture definition efforts to ensure integration and interoperability across the DAF C3BM enterprise architecture. Review current DoD architecture models and develop future‑state architectures for sensor‑to‑shooter connectivity. Support risk assessments and collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate technical and programmatic risks. Assist in developing execution management strategies and transition capability requirements to the acquisition community. Support the development of test and evaluation strategies in coordination with acquisition and test organizations. Drive interoperability and integration efforts across Program Executive Offices and weapon systems. Capture and analyze operational architectures based on mission and engagement scenarios. Engage with joint and coalition stakeholders to develop integrated multi‑domain architectures. Support the identification, assessment, and maturation of innovative concepts through analysis, modeling, simulation, and systems engineering activities. Prepare and support technical briefings, engineering documentation, reports, and recommendations for Government leadership. Qualifications U.S. Citizenship. Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience in the relevant technical or professional discipline, with at least 5 years supporting DoD. Systems engineering across the acquisition lifecycle. Systems architecture and integration, requirements analysis and development. Mission integration and systems‑of‑systems engineering. Operational analysis and architecture development. Experience with cloud‑based systems, cost and performance management. Knowledge of Agile, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and DevOps principles. Familiarity with DoDI 5000.02 and DoDI 5000.75 acquisition and program management processes. Modeling, simulation, and analysis expertise. Technical documentation and brief development. Self‑starter who can work independently and solve problems with minimal oversight. Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with Government, contractor, joint, and coalition organizations. Ability to present technical concepts to senior leadership and stakeholders. Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities. Top‑Secret security clearance with current SCI eligibility. Schedule and Location Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Work Location: Hanscom AFB, onsite Travel: Up to 15% Relocation Assistance: None Position Contingent Upon Award of Contract: No Salary $135,000 – $150,000 per year. The salary range is a general guideline and may vary based on qualifications, market conditions, and other factors.
