Senior Accountant

The?Senior Accountant responsibilities will include, but not limited to, monthly analysis, reconciliation of general ledger accounts, recording journal entries and other tasks monthly for the North American business units. In addition, this role supports the Controller with financial statement reporting, cost report preparation, financial analysis, budget preparation and implementation, financial statement audit?preparation?and special projects as assigned. The?Senior Accountant?will?participate?(from a financial perspective) in strategic initiatives and/or ad hoc projects. It requires the intensity, agility, and aptitude to successfully manage multiple simultaneous priorities and projects to support a matrix of diverse customers.??Because this individual will work with multiple levels of the organization, strong interpersonal skills are?required. Key Responsibilities Provide support to the Controller and Site?Managers? Compiling and reporting on?business results on a monthly/weekly basis,?with a focus?on?identifying?the?important issues?that will?impact?financials? Conduct Ad-hoc projects? Conduct Month-end closing activities and other routine tasks? Prepare and post journal entries? Account reconciliation? Variance analysis Participate in the annual?external audit by analyzing and general ledger accounts, providing information for auditors,?investigate?account discrepancies and any issues of noncompliance.? Requirements Bachelor?s Degree in Finance or Accounting? 1-2 years of experience in Finance in a manufacturing environment Strong?analytical?skills?to?quickly?grasp?issues?impacting?the?plant?s?financial?results? Solid financial planning and analysis skills Excellent communication skills with strong commitment?for?delivering?high quality?output Advanced Excel and/or Access skills? Broad technical accounting knowledge??
