Licensed Practical Nurse - LTC

Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

We are seeking experienced Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for a long-term care assignment with a start date as soon as possible. Successful candidates will have prior travel experience and must possess a current Alaska nursing license.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to residents in a long-term care facility.
Maintain compliance with facility policies and procedures.
Assist with various nursing tasks and support daily living activities for residents.
Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to optimize resident care.
Complete necessary documentation using ECS charting.

Shifts and Contract Details

Shift: 4x12 Variable
Caregivers will not rotate between night and day shifts, except for urgent staffing needs.
Duration: Traveler's choice of a 26 or 13-week assignment.
Guaranteed hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks, with the possibility of being called off for 1 shift during this period.

Required Qualifications

Active Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Alaska.
Minimum of 1 year of LTC experience required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Completion of Alaska Food Worker Certification during on-site orientation is mandatory.

Additional Information

Ratio: 1 nurse to 20 residents.
Must be willing to work during at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's).
No requests for time off (RTO) exceeding 2 weeks will be considered for a 26-week contract.
Local candidates will not be accepted; applicants must reside at least 50 miles away from the facility.
Facility provides free parking and shuttle transportation to and from Anchorage at the start and conclusion of the contract.
Local shuttle service is available for transportation within the area.
