Contract | Night Shift | Onsite | Every 3rd weekend required | No call required

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnoses, develop care plans, and evaluate progress toward patient outcomes
• Implement care plans, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote patient health and a safe environment
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver care in a safe and compassionate environment
• Provide health education and information directly to patients, families, and the treatment team
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
• Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties among healthcare team members

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of California
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from an approved vendor
• Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM), TEAM-A, or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Prior experience in an acute care facility emergency department setting
• Familiarity with Cerner and/or Launchpoint EMR systems and Pyxis medication management
• Experience with or exposure to procedures such as central lines, procedural sedation, lumbar punctures, paracentesis, or targeted temperature management
