Job Summary The Community Engagement Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting the Center's public health and mental health community outreach and engagement initiatives. This position involves collaborating closely with community partners to achieve programmatic goals, coordinating projects, and providing administrative support. Additionally, the coordinator will contribute to health communication efforts and manage social media activities to enhance community engagement and awareness. This position also assists in the development and enhancement of community engagement programs and analyzes program needs to recommend improvements. The coordinator additionally supports the management of the Center's student internship and volunteer program, providing direction, training, and mentoring to interns and volunteers engaged in community outreach activities. Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position Associates degree or equivalent experience/training Experience working with underserved populations in particular Latino farm worker and/or immigrant communities. Experience using software systems such as Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Experience delivering or supporting delivery of community education or outreach programs. Ability to maintain positive interactions with diverse individuals and work cooperatively. Ability to provide guidance and lead training to interns or volunteers. Working knowledge of departmental and organizational policies and procedures as they relate to community educational programming. Good reading, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and presentation skills. Working knowledge of current community engagement and outreach trends. Organizational skills to develop a project plan, monitor plans against established deadlines, and review and analyze results. Ability to exercise sound judgment within defined guidelines to resolve routine and moderately complex community engagement issues. Working knowledge of delivering community educational programs and ability to assist in enhancing existing curricula and engagement strategies. Ability to provide training or mentoring to volunteers or student interns as part of a coordinated outreach program. Skill in using business software systems (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) at an intermediate level of project coordination and tracking. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent experience/training Experience conducting needs assessments and recommending program improvements. Experience supporting training, onboarding, or mentorship in a community engagement, education, or public health setting. Ability to speak, read, and write Spanish. Good analytical skills to understand data and measure project impact. Knowledge or experience in public health/mental health education. Working knowledge of conducting needs assessments. Good analytical and problem‑solving skills to support program evaluation and development of recommendations. Key Responsibilities
