Medical Records Specialist
Job Summary:
Vivo Healthcare Winter haven is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Records Specialist to join our team in Winter Haven, Florida. As a Medical Records Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient maintenance of patient medical records, while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations. Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for patients, including diagnoses, medications, and treatment plans
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information
Accurately process and file medical records, including scanning and indexing documents
Respond to inquiries from patients, physicians, and other staff members in a timely and professional manner
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve the accuracy and efficiency of medical records management
Collaborate with other departments, such as billing and coding, to ensure seamless patient care
Perform other related duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred

Excellent communication and organization skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
