CNC Machinist - Open Shifts - $22-28/hr

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced CNC Machinist to join our team in the Porta Department. The ideal candidate will have the ability to follow rules, instructions, and guidelines while working collaboratively with all departments. You will be responsible for running CNC machines, completing machine tool adjustments, and ensuring that products meet quality standards.

Shift Description:

• 1st shift - Monday-Thursday 6a-4:30p
• 2nd shift - Monday-Thursday 6p-4:30a ($1 shift premium)
• Weekend - Fri, Sat, Sun 6a-6p (work 36 hours, paid for 40) - Must work 36 to receive the full 40 hour pay

Responsibilities:

• Run CNC machines within the Porta Department.
• Complete machine tool adjustments after documented training.
• Use measuring equipment to track product quality according to data collection sheets.
• Operate common inspection and measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and use a pallet jack, as well as operate small hand tools for deburring and cutting.
• Work hours as posted, arriving on time and ready to begin at the start of the shift.
• Move products in and out of the department using a forklift.

Essential Skills:

• 2+ years of CNC machining experience.
• Blueprint reading.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production machining environment.
• Quality inspection using tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Qualifications:

• Previous Porta Machining experience is a plus.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hudson, OH.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Hudson,OH.
