Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Alabama Special Education Teacher Certificate (AL SPED TCert) is required

• Previous experience with K-2 students preferred

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
• Provide direct instruction and support in academic, behavioral, and social skills
• Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, specialists, and families to promote student success
• Maintain accurate records for student progress, goals, and compliance
• Adapt teaching strategies and resources to accommodate diverse learning differences within your caseload
• Participate in IEP meetings and professional development activities
