Tech - Surgical

Job Summary:
Provide specialized surgical support as a Surgical Technologist (CST) in the operating room, assisting with a variety of complex procedures including transplant, spine, and robotic surgeries. Ensure sterile techniques are maintained and equipment is prepared for each case to facilitate efficient surgical workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols.
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and other surgical supplies.
• Maintain strict sterile techniques and monitor aseptic processes throughout each surgery.
• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and ensuring optimal access for the surgical team.
• Manage and troubleshoot surgical equipment, including DaVinci robotics and other advanced machinery.
• Adhere to unit policies regarding on-call, response times, and shift scheduling to ensure continuous patient care.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active NBSTA certification and DORA license.
• Possess a minimum of 6 months current acute care hospital CST experience.
• Have at least 2 years of surgical technologist experience in a hospital setting.
• Demonstrate knowledge of OR protocols, sterile techniques, and surgical instrumentation.
• Be proficient with Meditech EMR systems.
• Have experience with transplant, spine, and robotics procedures preferred.
