Requirements Conditions of employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. This position has been designated as non-sensitive and requires a personnel security investigation. All Health Care Providers must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) training and certification that is sponsored or endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA). Applicants must be able to fulfill credentialing requirements and obtain and maintain appropriate/relevant clinical privileges. Successful completion of applicable Military Health System (MHS) GENESIS Training is required in order to access the MHS GENESIS System within 30 days of on-boarding and/or as required. Occasional shift work (before 0600 or after 1800 hours) may be required. Occasionally may be required to work Saturdays. This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) subject to applicant testing and random drug testing. Experience: A minimum of one full year of work experience as a certified physician assistant which includes Conducting clinical evaluation and/or physical examinations; Interpreting medical documentation and/or findings; Developing and/or managing treatment plans; Consulting with other professionals regarding healthcare and medical issues. This definition of experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
