Tax Accountant
We are seeking a skilled Tax Accountant to join a respected public accounting firm that provides tax, advisory, and consulting services to privately held businesses, business owners, executives, and high-net-worth individuals.
This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional with 35 years of public accounting experience who has developed a strong foundation in tax preparation, compliance, research, and client advisory. The ideal candidate has a primary focus on tax rather than audit, enjoys working directly with clients, and is looking to build a long-term career in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for corporations, partnerships, S corporations, and individuals
- Prepare complex individual tax returns for business owners, executives, and high-net-worth clients
- Research tax laws and regulations to support compliance and planning initiatives
- Identify tax-saving opportunities and provide practical recommendations to clients
- Communicate directly with clients to gather information, answer questions, and resolve tax-related issues
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations
- Partner with firm leadership on tax planning, consulting engagements, and special projects
- Manage multiple client engagements while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality work
