Join Our Team as a Guidance Counselor at Assumption High School

Scott County Catholic Schools (SCCS) is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and faith-centered Guidance Counselor to join our dedicated team. Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small group counseling to students, supporting their academic, social-emotional, and spiritual growth.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and community resources to address student needs and encourage optimal student development.
• Assist with student grade/course work transitions and participate in case conferences, IEPs, and 504 plans as needed.
• Promote a positive school climate through various programs.
• Support overall school operations and collaborate with counselors across SCCS.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain open communication with students, parents, and staff.

Qualifications

• Valid School Counselor or Social Worker license from the BOEE, or relevant teaching license/substitute authorization recognized by the BOEE.
• Knowledge of adolescent psychology, therapy/treatment options for student mental health, and the impact of environment on student well-being.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Commitment to the values and teachings of the Catholic faith.
• Experience working with youth in educational or counseling settings preferred.
