Britton Industries, a leader in the production of landscape products throughout the Northeastern United States, is seeking a Dispatcher to join our team at our Morrisville, Pennsylvania location.
As a Dispatcher at our Morrisville location, you will serve as the central hub for our drivers, equipment operators, and dispatch operations. You will be responsible for scheduling, routing, tracking driver activity, and serving as the primary point of contact for daily logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Driver Coordination: Assign routes and schedule daily deliveries and pickups for CDL Class A and Roll-Off drivers.
- Real-Time Communication: Maintain continuous contact with drivers and on-site staff; handle route changes or unexpected delays efficiently.
- Activity & Logs Tracking: Ensure proper tracking and documentation of driver activity logs, trip reports, and service delivery records.
- Dispatch Support: Receive incoming operational requests and communicate immediate schedule updates directly to dispatch and fleet management.
- Fleet Support: Work alongside our maintenance team and mechanics to track vehicle availability and schedule routine maintenance or equipment transfers.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of dispatching, scheduling, or logistics experience (experience in trucking, recycling, landscape materials, or heavy equipment industries preferred).
- Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with dispatch software, routing systems, basic spreadsheets, and communications tools.
- Problem Solving: Ability to remain calm under pressure, make quick decisions, and solve routing or scheduling conflicts on the fly.
