Data Engineer

Our platform processes enormous volumes of data, and we need a Data Engineer who can keep it fast and resilient. This is where 1 years becomes $55,000 - $86,000, where internship hours meet real technology ownership, and where American Express bets on you.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the Decision Making release that Tempe leadership has circled on the calendar
• Trace a technology number back through Hugging Face services until it finally adds up
• Chase down the SQL integration that silently drops American Express events at midnight
• Ship the Delegation delightfully-weird rewrite that pays down years of American Express technical debt
• Prototype rough LangChain ideas fast, then decide which earn a place in American Express's stack

What You'll Bring

• A point of view, held loosely and defended well
• Experience translating LangChain complexity for a non-technical audience
• Knowledge of AZ-specific regulations relevant to technology work
• A collaborator who makes the junior review feel less like an exam
• Proven leadership experience guiding junior-level initiatives
