Director, Printing Services Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties:
The Printing and Mail Services is responsible for coordinating and performing campus-wide mail and printing
operations. This position combines the duties of the Mail Services Coordinator and Institutional Printer roles,
providing comprehensive support in the areas of mail distribution, postage management, printing production,
customer service, and equipment maintenance. The position ensures efficient workflow, adherence to postal and
printing regulations, and high-quality service delivery to the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff campus community.
Qualifications: • Coordinate daily operations of the campus mail center, ensuring accurate and timely distribution of incoming mail and packages. • Receive, sort, and deliver incoming mail, interoffice mail, and packages to designated locations across campus. • Prepare, weigh, meter, and process outgoing mail, including certified, registered, express, insured, bulk, and international mail. • Ensure proper handling and documentation of mail requiring special processing or signatures. • Maintain accurate records of postage usage, expenditures, cash drawer balances, and stamp inventory. • Sell postage and provide customer support at the mail counter. • Maintain mailroom equipment and coordinate repairs and service needs. • Assist customers, screen incoming calls, and provide professional front-line service. • Receive, review, and process print job orders, including forms, brochures, booklets, flyers, postcards, and other materials. • Operate and maintain printing equipment such as digital copiers, presses, cutters, folders, binders, and drilling machines. • Monitor print quality, adjust equipment settings, and ensure accurate completion of print orders. • Use computerized systems to prepare cost center reports, print logs, and chargeback documentation. • Maintain printing supplies, paper inventory, and request replenishment or capital equipment as needed. • Provide support for print production, including trimming, folding, saddle stitching, padding, and binding. • Train new work-study staff on printing and mail procedures, and safety practices. • Resolve customer concerns, operational issues, and workflow problems. Additional Information: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Two years of experience in mail services operations or printing operations. • At least one year of experience in a leadership, supervisory, or advanced technical role. • Additional job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these requirements with appropriate departmental approval Salary Information:
