Houston, TXJob TypeFull-timeDescriptionTarantino Properties is seeking a Commercial Engineer for our buildings in Westside Houston.Responsibilities: Moderate knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, life safety, fire protection, access systemsAbility to complete light HVAC repairs – replace filters, log and reset alarms, troubleshooting, basic PM knowledgeAbility to complete light electrical repairs – change out wall receptable, replace light bulbs, ballasts, light switches, trace circuitsAbility to complete light plumbing repairs – stop leaks, replace spigotsBasic knowledge of pneumatic systemsUnderstanding and abiding by city requirements, keep track of permits and expirationsIdentify and correct building safety hazardsGood troubleshooting skillsProblem solving skillsAbility to effectively communicate with managementAbility to communicate with tenants in a professional pleasant and helpful mannerAbility to work independently and as a teamAbility to plan your day based off the work order system and plan aheadAbility to maintain and complete paperwork and keep track of PMAbility to collect vendors bids, communicate issues with vendors and vendor schedulingOrganizational and time management skills, ability to complete work orders in a timely mannerWork overtime and weekends if needed/must be able to respond 24 hoursRequirementsWhy People Love Working Here:People are at the heart of what we do every day.
