Support Staff

Ernesto’s is seeking experienced and dedicated Support Staff to join our front-of-house team.

Located on the Lower East Side, Ernesto’s pays homage to the Basque region of Spain. Our ever-evolving menu offers a seasonal exploration of the region’s cuisine, complemented by a beverage program featuring natural and low-intervention Spanish wines, ciders, vermouths, specialty cocktails, and beers.

This role is essential to the guest experience and ideal for someone passionate about hospitality, detail-oriented, and eager to work as part of a high-performing team.

Requirements:

• Previous NYC restaurant experience in a support, runner, or busser position

• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

• Ability to remain organized and efficient in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

• Support servers in delivering warm, attentive, and professional hospitality to every guest

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room throughout service

• Assist with resetting tables promptly and properly between guests

• Run food and beverage to tables efficiently and knowledgeably

• Ensure all guests are marked properly for each course

• Restock service stations, polish glassware, and maintain overall service readiness

• Stay informed about current menu offerings and ingredients, especially regarding allergens

• Notify servers or management of any guest needs or special requests

• Uphold all DOH sanitation standards and follow all safety procedures

• Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned
