Key Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 20-40 employees, including reviewing reports, making adjustments, and submitting payroll for processing.
- Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
- Support general ledger accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records.
- Review accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliations completed by other team members and post finalized entries.
- Assist with audit preparation and ongoing accounting projects.
- Generate and analyze financial reports utilizing Excel and accounting software
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, account balancing, and reconciliations.
- Advanced Excel skills and the ability to generate and manipulate reports.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Previous accounting experience in a nonprofit environment.
- Retail accounting experience.
- Inventory reconciliation experience.
- Experience with international banking, currency exchanges, or foreign transactions.
- Experience using Abila MIP, Shopify, CounterPoint, or similar accounting and inventory systems
