Job Title Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse – Behavioral Health Job Type Full-time Schedule 3x12, Days (7 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.), Weekends (every other weekend) and Holidays Rotate, No on‑call Description The 72‑bed inpatient behavioral health team at Highland Springs provides compassionate, holistic care to adults aged 18+ who are facing mental health crises. As an LPN/LVN you will deliver general and psychiatric nursing care under RN supervision, support patients with substance abuse, dual diagnosis, or emotional disorders, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and well‑being. Responsibilities Ensure that individual patient observations/checks are conducted. Administer medications safely and accurately, demonstrating knowledge of indications and side effects. Document patient status, reflecting physical and emotional acuity. Respond to interventions and track progress toward goals. Communicate patient responses to the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team and provide daily reports. Interact with patients and patient groups to enhance communication and delivery of quality care. Orient patients and families to the program. Explain and enforce patient rights, act as patient advocate, and preserve confidentiality. Qualifications Current Ohio LPN or LVN license and graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse program. BLS and De-escalation certifications required within 30 days of hire. Preferable: 1 year of experience in a psychiatric health care facility.
