Surgery - General Physician

TinkBird Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Board-Certified General Surgery Physician to provide locum tenens call coverage at a community hospital in Nags Head, North Carolina. This opportunity offers 24-hour call coverage with no clinic responsibilities while working alongside an established surgical team.

Orientation: Providers will need to arrive the day before their first scheduled shift for orientation.

Coverage Needed
October 9 (7:00 AM) October 12 (7:00 AM)
December 23 (7:00 AM) December 28 (7:00 AM)

Position Highlights
24-hour call coverage only
No clinic responsibilities
Nights and weekends required
Established practice with existing surgeon
Approximately 15 patient encounters per day
Average of 8 16 operative cases per week
No ICU or critical care responsibilities
No code response requirements
ECU Health Air and Ground Transport available for rapid patient transfers
EPIC electronic medical record

Required Procedures
Emergent general surgery cases including:
Appendectomy
Cholecystectomy
Other routine emergency general surgery procedures

Qualifications
Board-Certified General Surgeon
Active North Carolina license (or ability to obtain)
Comfortable providing independent emergency general surgery call coverage
EPIC experience preferred
