Surgical Technologist

Role Overview The Surgical Technologist assists in surgical procedures by maintaining a sterile environment, preparing supplies and instruments, and supporting the surgical team. They ensure proper sterilization, assist with gowning and gloveing, manage specimen handling, and help with equipment cleaning and reprocessing. The role involves effective communication with patients, staff, and physicians, while adhering to safety and infection control protocols. Key Responsibilities Establish and maintain sterile fields during surgeries. Assist with gathering supplies, instrument counts, and specimen handling. Gown and glove surgeons and assistants. Support environmental safety, equipment care, and infection control practices. Participate in training, safety drills, and team communication to ensure quality patient care. Qualifications & Skills High School Diploma or GED; completion of a Scrub Technician Program (certification preferred). 1-2 years of experience as a Scrub Tech across multiple specialties, including Orthopedic, Spine, and MAKO procedures. Knowledge of medical terminology, sterile techniques, and surgical procedures. Ability to handle problems involving standard variables and work effectively in a team environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
