Instrument Technician

Instrument Technician The Instrument Technician cleans, prepares, and sterilizes surgical supplies, reusable trays, equipment, and miscellaneous items for the Operating Room by following established AORN guidelines. This individual assures efficient OR scheduling by correctly preparing instrumentation, packs, and supplies for each use. Qualifications High School diploma or GED equivalent required. OR and/or central service experience preferred. Thorough understanding of aseptic technique. Operates sterilizers, sonic cleaners, computerized disinfectors, Steris machines, and gas sealers. Proficiency in proper lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending techniques. #J-18808-Ljbffr
