Bookkeeper

A growing and stable organization is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis. This role is fully onsite in Columbus, OH and offers the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative accounting team supporting a dynamic organization.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily banking activities, including monitoring and reconciling bank accounts and credit card transactions
  
• Deposit checks using remote scanning tools and manage ACH verifications
  
• Record accounts receivable transactions, including payments and other incoming funds
  
• Bill monthly work orders and maintain accurate records across multiple systems
  
• Process accounts payable, including vendor invoices, utilities, and data entry into accounting platforms
  
• Assist with uploading payment and financial data into property management systems
  
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and post journal entries to the general ledger
  
• Record recurring entries such as depreciation, insurance expense, and other monthly adjustments
  
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and schedules
  
• Serve as backup support to other accounting team members as needed
  

Qualifications:

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  
• At least 3 years of bookkeeping or general accounting experience required
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (pivots and vlookups)
  
• Experience with Yardi or a similar property management/accounting system preferred
  
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  
• Customer-service mindset with strong attention to detail
  
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  

Pay Details: $25.00 to $29.00 per hour
