General Counsel

Our client is seeking an experienced legal executive to serve as General Counsel and a key member of the senior leadership team. This is a broad, business-oriented role offering the opportunity to advise executive leadership across a diverse portfolio of companies. The ideal candidate is a dynamic, collaborative attorney who enjoys working on a wide variety of legal and strategic matters in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal and strategic counsel to executive leadership on corporate, commercial, governance, and regulatory matters.
• Lead and support mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions, contract negotiations, and other complex business initiatives.
• Oversee litigation, outside counsel, employment matters, risk management, compliance, and corporate governance activities.
• Advise on finance, lending, environmental, insurance, and other general corporate legal matters.

Qualifications:

• J.D. degree and admission to the New York State Bar.
• 10+ years of experience in corporate, business, transactional, or commercial law.
• Strong background in corporate governance, M&A, real estate, and commercial contracts.
• Experience supporting privately held or family-owned businesses is a plus.
