PRN CT Technologist

Role Overview: The CT Technologist applies expertise to perform high-quality, safe imaging procedures, ensuring a positive patient experience at East Cobb Health Park. As a valued clinical professional, you will operate imaging equipment, follow safety protocols, and support patient care within a collaborative team. Key Responsibilities Perform CT procedures following department guidelines, capturing diagnostic images with technical precision. Operate imaging equipment independently, adjusting techniques to maintain image quality while minimizing radiation exposure (ALARA). Maintain cleanliness and functionality of equipment and rooms, reporting issues promptly. Obtain patient history, verify orders, and ensure patient safety through proper identification and screening. Explain procedures clearly, utilizing AIDET, to reduce patient anxiety and ensure understanding. Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety, providing age-appropriate care throughout the exam. Administer contrast agents using venipuncture and sterile techniques as per protocol. Position patients accurately, apply shielding, and review images for diagnostic quality, repeating scans when necessary. Document procedures accurately in RIS/PACS systems and support department workflows. Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist with equipment readiness, restocking, and safety protocols. Qualifications & Skills High School Diploma or equivalent, with completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Minimum of 1 year radiology experience. Certifications: ARRT - R (Radiography), ARRT - CT (Computed Tomography), and BLS (American Heart Association).
