Cardiac CT Technologist

Role Overview: The CT Technologist applies expertise to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience at a healthcare facility. They are essential members of a collaborative care team, responsible for performing CT procedures, maintaining equipment, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. Key Responsibilities Perform CT scans according to departmental guidelines, capturing diagnostic images with technical precision. Operate imaging equipment independently, adjusting techniques to optimize image quality and minimize radiation exposure. Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of rooms and equipment, reporting issues promptly. Obtain patient history, verify orders, and screen for contraindications before procedures. Communicate procedures clearly, address patient questions, and ensure comfort using AIDET principles. Administer contrast agents when necessary, using sterile techniques and venipuncture skills. Position patients correctly, apply shielding, and review images for diagnostic quality, repeating exams if needed. Document procedures accurately in RIS/PACS, ensuring proper study finalization and data management. Monitor patient conditions, respond to emergencies, and support safety protocols. Organize workflows, support departmental operations, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Minimum of 1 year radiology experience. Certifications in ARRT - R (Radiography), ARRT - CT, and BLS from the American Heart Association.
