Experienced Private Housekeeper Needed in Locust Valley, NY & Midtown Manhattan, NY for Immediate Hire!

Position:   Full-Time, Live-Out Housekeeper
Location: Midtown Manhattan &  Locust Valley, NY
Schedule:   Saturday through Wednesday OR Thursday through Monday - must be available to work weekends in the Locust Valley property. **See schedule notes below.
Compensation:  $40.00 to $50.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Negotiable for the right candidate.
**Compensation will be commensurate with private estate experience
Start Date: Immediately - Flexible for the right candidate
Relocation:   NO. Local candidates only.

Position Overview

A warm and respectful private family of six is seeking an experienced, reliable Housekeeper to join an established team of three Housekeepers. This full-time, live-out position is based between the family's residences in Locust Valley, NY and Midtown Manhattan.

The ideal candidate has proven experience working in a luxury private residence serving a UHNW family and understands the exceptional standards, discretion, attention to detail, and flexibility required in that environment. They take pride in maintaining immaculate homes, anticipate household needs, and work collaboratively with other household staff to ensure seamless day-to-day operations. This is an excellent long-term opportunity for a career Housekeeper who values professionalism, consistency, and teamwork.

**Schedule

Live-out Position

Five workdays per week with two consecutive days off. 

Either a Saturday-Wednesday schedule OR a Thursday-Monday schedule as follows:

• Saturday, Sunday, and Monday: Locust Valley, NY Property (non-Negotiable) 
• Tuesday and Wednesday or Thursday and Friday: Midtown Manhattan, NY

Standard hours at the Midtown Manhattan residence are 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

At the Locust Valley residence , shifts are either:

• AM Shift: 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• PM Shift: 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM

*Hours may vary based on the family's schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed housekeeping throughout both residences, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, living areas, and additional household spaces.
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation throughout both homes.
• Laundry, iron, and proper care for household linens, clothing, and delicate fabrics.
• Make beds and provide turndown service.
• Organize closets, drawers, storage areas, and household spaces to maintain a well-ordered environment.
• Assist with light household inventory management, including supplies, linens, and toiletries.
• Set up for family meals and tidy dining areas as needed.
• Work collaboratively and communicate with the housekeeping team and other household staff to ensure consistency and exceptional standards across both residences.
• Report maintenance concerns or repair needs promptly.
• Help maintain a polished, welcoming, and impeccably cared-for home environment at all times.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Housekeeper in a private residence is required.
• Experience working in a luxury private residence serving a UHNW family is required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of caring for fine furnishings, luxury finishes, designer clothing, delicate fabrics, and premium household linens.
• Flexible and comfortable traveling between the family's Locust Valley and Midtown Manhattan residences as part of the regular schedule.
• Comfortable working collaboratively as part of an established household team.
• Fluent English required.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be very pet-friendly and comfortable around large, friendly dogs . The household includes three large dogs (Bernedoodles) and one small dog (micro Goldendoodle) .
• Demonstrates exceptional discretion, professionalism, and respect for the family's privacy.
• Reliable transportation is required and a safe driving record
• Dependable, punctual, highly organized, and exceptionally detail-oriented.

Compensation & Benefits

• $40.00 to $50.00 per hour, depending on experience.  Negotiable for the right candidate.
