Expected pay for this position is $47.49 - $61.66/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position. Limited Weekend Requirements! Self-scheduled per 6 week plotter. 0-4 years of RN Experience = 4 Weekend Shifts. 4-10 years of RN Experience = 3 Weekend Shifts. 10-15 years of RN Experience = 2 Weekend Shifts. 15+ years of RN Experience = No weekend Shifts.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The OnDemand Registered Nurse delivers high quality, compassionate care across diverse clinical settings with a strong emphasis on flexibility throughout the Ministry. The nurse uses sound clinical judgment and adaptability to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individualized care for patients of all ages. The OnDemand RN is highly knowledgeable, autonomous professional who demonstrates flexibility and adaptability, seamlessly working across the OSF Ministry to meet patient and organizational needs. The OnDemand registered nurse requires advanced clinical competence, informal leadership capability, and the ability to provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality care to patients across the care continuum in diverse environments. The OnDemand RN will travel between multiple OSF facilities based on staffing and patient needs.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: Associate degree in nursing.
• Experience: 1 year of nursing experience in an acute healthcare setting within the specialty hired.
• Licensure/ Certification: Reg Nurse License in the state of Illinois. Basic Life Support certification (BLS) through the American Heart Association. Advanced Care Life Support certification (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (required for applicable specialties). Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through the American Heart Association (required for applicable specialties).
• Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work maintain flexibility in work and schedule. Strong clinical judgment and autonomous decision-making ability. Advanced assessment, analytical, and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to manage complex patient populations across the care continuum. Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft applications. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) or completion within two years of hire.
• Experience: 2 years of nursing experience in an acute healthcare setting within the specialty hired.
• Participation in Clinical Ladder strongly encouraged.
