We are actively seeking a dedicated Infectious Disease Physician for a one-week inpatient consultative coverage opportunity. This role offers the chance to work in an acute care academic setting, contributing to the supervision and education of residents.
Job Details- Location: Staten Island, NY
- Facility Type: Acute care academic hospital
- Bed Size: 300 active beds, including Behavioral Health and Maternity
- Shift Duration: 8-hour days
- Shifts Per Week: 7
- Start Date: August 20, 2026
- End Date: August 27, 2026
- Board Certification or Eligibility in Infectious Disease
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar healthcare setting
- Ability to expedite emergency privileges if needed
- Provide inpatient consultative services for adult patients
- Supervise and educate residents during night shifts
- Manage approximately 5 new consults per day
- Collaborate with the healthcare team and private attending to ensure comprehensive patient care
