LOCATION: 80 Jesse Hill Jr. Drive, SE, Atlanta, GA, 30303 JOB TYPE: Full-Time SUMMARY The candidate is responsible for providing nutritional care to patients through nutrition screening, assessment, counseling, metabolic monitoring, and communication with interdisciplinary team members. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Complete initial nutrition assessments in accordance with departmental policies and guidelines
- Develop and implement evidence-based nutrition care plans tailored to patients
- Evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of Medical Nutrition Therapy interventions and follow up appropriately
- Perform Nutrition Focused Physical Exams to determine risk or degree of malnutrition
- Assess patients for food security and provide resources as appropriate
- Work with the interdisciplinary care team to optimize patient care
- Provide education to patients and families on nutrition recommendations while taking into consideration cultural needs and readiness to learn
- Attend interdisciplinary rounds or meetings assigned
- Manage parenteral nutrition support for patients
- Participate in departmental Journal Clubs and education sessions to improve knowledge and skills
- Participate in quality and productivity improvement projects QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from an accredited institution
- Masters degree from an accredited institution if you became a dietitian after January 1st, 2024
- Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Licensed by Georgia's State Board of Licensed Dietitians Commission on Dietetic Registration
