A local financial services firm is seeking a qualified candidate for a Network Engineer position. This is a new position open due to the expanding technical environment necessary to support the global reach of the company. This is a very profitable company which is experiencing double digit growth even in this down economy. They are offering an excellent compensation package.

Position Description:

- Develop, design and maintain network communications. - Responsible for the overall performance and availability of network. - Determines needs for new products and systems based on budget, client needs, and improvements in technology. - May work closely with several functional areas in an organization to ensure that the network is meeting the expectations of clients. - Analyzes network and recommends upgrades/changes; assesses organization's current and future network needs. - Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements. - Familiar with a variety of the best practices and procedures. - May lead and direct the work of others. - May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Position Requirements:

- At least 10 years experience in network engineering or in a related area. - CCNA or CCIE Certification; Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required - Experience with the following: MPLS, T1, DS3, Fiber, Ethernet, Cisco Routers & Switches, ASA Firewalls, Routing Protocols( BGP, OSPF, SNMP, QoS) Cisco IPT, VLAN’s, TCP/IP,TDM.
