Qualifications Must be a certified teacher with the State of New Jersey. Employee must be willing to assume a leadership role when needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Teach in accordance with the assignment, utilizing philosophy, goals and materials approved by the board of education. Work with parents to guide the growth and development of the students. Assist in establishing and maintaining standards of pupil behavior necessary for the effective functioning of class and school activities. Create an atmosphere conducive to learning and appropriate to the students. Make recommended changes in students’ program. Test incoming students for initial class placement. Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Principal and/or Special Services Supervisor. Technology Skills Ability to be proficient in computer applications pertinent to support the position, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, and Genesis Employee Portal. Evaluation of Performance Performance of this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with the New Jersey Administrative Code and Board of Education policy.
