Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Mathematics

Position Overview Tenure‑Track Assistant Professor of Mathematics. Candidates may be appointed at the initial rank with the possibility of promotion to Associate, Full, or Distinguished Professor for exceptional cases. The department prioritizes research in Algebra & Algebraic Geometry and Discrete Mathematics, but outstanding scholars in any mathematics area may be considered. All applicants must hold a Ph.D. in mathematics by the employment start date. The normal teaching load for research‑active faculty is 2 courses per year and 1 graduate course. Responsibilities Teach undergraduate and graduate mathematics courses. Conduct research in the chosen specialty area. Supervise graduate students, including mentoring and advising. Participate in departmental service and committee duties as required by the tenure‑track expectations. Qualifications Ph.D. in Mathematics. Strong evidence of a promise as a researcher and teacher of mathematics. Outstanding professional preparation that demonstrates competence in teaching and research.
