Non-Tenure-Track faculty - All Ranks, Assistant, Associate, & full Professor

Position Overview Non‑Tenure‑Track Faculty - All Ranks (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Rutgers University‑New Brunswick. The appointment is calendar‑year, full‑time, and will commence in the Fall 2026 semester. Candidates may be appointed at any rank commensurate with qualifications and may be placed on the Teaching or Professional Practice track. Responsibilities Teach lecture and laboratory courses in the BME curriculum, covering topics such as biomechanics, biomaterials, transport, kinetics & thermodynamics, numerical modeling, physiology, systems & devices, and biomedical measurements. Develop and deliver experiential and industry‑focused learning opportunities, and assist with the creation of an industry‑focused master’s program. Coordinate and maintain course‑related laboratory equipment and support student projects. Mentor undergraduate and graduate students, support student recruitment, and engage with local industry partners. Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Chairperson. Qualifications Doctoral degree in bioengineering, biomedical engineering, or a closely related discipline. Several years of classroom and laboratory instruction experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring a diverse student body. Industrial experience in the healthcare technology sector is highly desirable. Compensation Assistant Teaching Professor: $82,110. Associate Teaching Professor: $84,950. Teaching Professor: $95,764. Final salary will be commensurate with qualifications and rank offered.
