Position: Assistant or Associate Professor – Tenure Track Department: RWJ - Pharmacology Location: Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences, Piscataway Campus Overview Develop and maintain an externally funded research program addressing human health and disease, while contributing to teaching, service, and mentorship within the university. Collaborate with other Rutgers departments and institutes to support interdisciplinary research. Responsibilities Develop and lead an externally funded research program with a focus on human health, development, and disease. Teach professional, graduate, and undergraduate courses in relevant subjects. Mentor trainees, including graduate students and postdoctoral researchers. Participate in faculty service and institutional initiatives. Collaborate with other departments and institutes at Rutgers for interdisciplinary projects. Qualifications Minimum qualification: Ph.D., M.D., M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent graduate degree with postdoctoral experience. Demonstrated record of significant research achievement and potential for independent investigation. Commitment to teaching medical and graduate students and to mentorship of trainees. Outstanding publication record consistent with training and experience. Junior candidates should demonstrate strong postdoctoral research productivity and clear potential for an independent, externally funded program.
