Rough Turn Operator (CNC Machinist)Superior Forge & Steel Corporation is currently hiring a Rough Turn Operator for our operation in Lima, Ohio. The Rough Turn Operator is a member of our Machining Department responsible for operating a CNC lathe to machine our forged rolls. Starting wage for this position is $22.20/hr., with the opportunity for higher compensation based on experience and skills. Benefit/insurance package, 8 paid holidays, 401K, PTO, Vacation, Paid Relief Days, $1,000 SIGN ON BONUS, and this position is eligible for the Production Incentive Program.Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED requiredPrevious CNC machining experience or technical training in machining or machining related skills preferred, but not required.Strong mathematical skillsAbility to interpret and utilize blueprints and sketchesStrong attention to detailBasic problem solving and troubleshooting skillsMust be able to read a tape measurePhysical Requirements & Environmental Conditions:Must be capable of lifting 60-80 lbsExposed to seasonal temperature changesManufacturing environment with noise, dust, and vibrationResponsibilities:Set up and operate lathe and Allen Bradley controllerInspect forging/roll; report any deviation from specificationMachine forging/roll to specificationAccurately and legibly complete machining production worksheetsPerform other department duties, as assignedMust be able to pass criminal background check and drug screen.Classification: Hourly Eligible after 30 days; medical/prescription drug coverage, dental, vision insurances, company provided Basic Life and AD&D insurance, additional voluntary benefits including hospital indemnity, accident and critical illness insurance, paid holidays, company paid safety shoes and prescription safety glasses.
