Head Fitness Coach — Personal Training & Wellness
FitZone Personal Training and Wellness | Ellicott City, MD Full-Time (30–40 hrs/week) | Growth Path to General Manager
About FitZone
FitZone Personal Training and Wellness is a private, 4,000-square-foot training facility in Ellicott City, MD, offering small group personal training (our signature service), 1:1 personal training, customized nutrition planning, medical-grade body analysis and reviews, wellness events, and more. We're a community-first facility where members are known by name, coached with intention, and supported by an integrated wellness team.
You'll train and learn directly under founder Stacy Renee Wig — IFBB Bodybuilding Pro, Trifitness Hall of Fame athlete, Deka Athlete, Nutrition expert, and a coach with nearly 40 years in the fitness and wellness industry.
What You'll Do
- Coach small group personal training sessions
- Conduct 1:1 personal training sessions
- Onboard and support new members through their first weeks
- Follow up with leads and prospective members
- Schedule consultations and appointments
- Assist with membership sales and enrollment
- Deliver exceptional member service and accountability
What You'll Learn
This is a true mentorship role. You will be trained to:
- Become an expert in multi-level fitness coaching (beginners through competitive athletes)
- Build customized nutrition plans and workout programs for our members
- Perform medical-grade body composition analyses and present results to members
- Master our member onboarding system from first consultation to long-term success
Schedule
- 30–40 hours per week, with a flexible schedule
- Must be available for some early mornings, evenings, and weekends — that's when our members train!
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: 30,000–100,000 , commensurate with experience and certifications
- Commission opportunities on membership sales
- Bonus structure

- Clear growth path: this role is expected to evolve into a General Manager position
Who You Are
- Certified personal trainer (NASM, ACE, ISSA, NSCA, or equivalent) — or actively pursuing certification
- Genuinely passionate about people, not just programming
- Comfortable coaching groups and individuals across all fitness levels
- Reliable, coachable, and excited to grow with a young, fast-growing business
- CPR/AED certified (or willing to obtain before start date)
