Location: Fredericksburg, VA
Type: Permanent
Shift & Schedule: Nights Only | Rotating Weekends
Pay: $32.95/hr - $41.42/hr

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for an exciting Local job in Fredericksburg, VA.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' respiratory status through focused examinations and clinical evaluations.

• Interpret breath sounds, airway patency, and determine appropriate respiratory interventions.

• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, airway clearance techniques, and other respiratory treatments.

• Initiate, monitor, and adjust invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation.

• Assist with artificial airway placement and emergency respiratory interventions.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.

• Educate patients and families regarding respiratory treatments and disease management.

• Support newborn stabilization during deliveries as needed.

• Set up, operate, troubleshoot, clean, and maintain respiratory equipment.

• Safely transport ventilated patients and ensure compliance with infection prevention standards.

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential and/or state Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.

• Associate Degree, Respiratory Therapy Certificate, Vocational School Graduate, or equivalent accredited respiratory therapy education.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment start date).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience providing critical care and advanced respiratory support services.

• Experience with invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation.

• Strong clinical assessment and emergency response skills.

• Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration abilities.

• Experience working with neonatal, pediatric, and adult patient populations.
