Conflicts Staff Attorney

Trustpoint.one is supporting the New York City office of an AmLaw 100 firm in their search for a Conflicts Attorney to support the firm's new business intake and conflicts clearance process on a contract-to-hire basis. This REMOTE role works closely with attorneys and business intake professionals to identify, analyze, and resolve potential conflicts of interest while ensuring compliance with applicable ethical rules and firm policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct conflicts searches and analyze results for new clients, new matters, and other firm initiatives.
• Identify potential conflicts issues and partner with attorneys to facilitate conflict clearance and resolution.
• Assist in the analysis of conflicts of interest and draft conflict waivers when appropriate.
• Support new client and matter intake, lateral attorney onboarding, and other special conflicts-related projects.
• Participate in training programs related to conflicts and intake procedures.
• Provide on-call support for conflicts reviews and assist with additional projects as needed.

Qualifications

• J.D. required.
• 3+ years of experience conducting conflicts analysis in a large law firm environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of conflicts of interest rules and professional responsibility requirements.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the firm.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Intapp Open or similar conflicts management systems is preferred.
