Make a difference supporting students for a part-time opportunity as a paraprofessional in a dynamic school setting near West Hartford, CT. This contract position runs from June 24th through July 17th, with daily hours from 8am to 12pm. Multiple openings are available, and assignments will be matched to your background and interests for the best possible fit.

Your experience as a paraprofessional will help foster a positive, inclusive environment and play an important role in students' growth this summer. Collaboration, compassion, and adaptability will set you up for success as you assist teachers and encourage students to reach their potential.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Prior paraprofessional experience or related work with children in educational settings
• Comfort supporting students with diverse learning needs and abilities
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
• Reliability and punctuality for consistent support throughout the program
• Ability to adapt to different classrooms and student groups as needed

Responsibilities:

• Work alongside lead teachers to reinforce lesson plans and individualized educational goals
• Provide direct support to students, including small group or one-on-one assistance
• Foster a respectful, inclusive atmosphere where every learner feels valued
• Assist with classroom activities, transitions, and organization
• Monitor student engagement and safety, reporting observations to supervising staff
