UMEC offers industry-leading building information modeling (BIM) capabilities, design/build services, sustainable solutions, commercial HVAC services, and complex mechanical and industrial system installations.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesResponsibilitiesProject Estimating (Take-Off & Analysis)Project Scheduling (Manpower scheduling)Manage RFIs (Requests for Information)Prepare Submittal PackagesManage Flow of Contractor provided submittal dataAssist in data population of formsPrepare Project Progress BillingsAssist in Technical Analysis, Trouble shooting, and problem solving of HVAC Air Equipment, HVAC Piping Equipment Systems, HVAC & Plumbing EquipmentSkills and Experience:Basic working knowledge HVAC & Plumbing Design & System OperationBasic working knowledge of Commercial & Industrial construction sequencesBasic working knowledge of construction estimatingBasic working knowledge of testing procedures for HVAC systems.Basic working knowledge of ASHRAE data & guidelinesAverage proficiency with MS Project scheduling programAverage proficiency with MS Access or other database programsAbove average proficiency with MS Excel & WordAbove average proficiency with InternetAbove average verbal & writing skillsAbove average organizational skills in handling & archiving technical dataRecommended that the candidate have bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management, and/or 5 years industry experience as a Construction Project Engineer.
