Network Deployment Technician, DCC Communities

AWS is looking for a Network Deploy Technician to join our growing team within infrastructure operations. You will work with minimum supervision in a dynamic environment to drive the stability and sustainability of our next‑generation networks and assist in the development of innovative ways to automate and scale our network. Key responsibilities Managing work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects. Collaborating with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles. Troubleshooting networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords. Specifying power and cooling requirements and ensuring hardware racking/stacking completed for new equipment. Participating in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware. Tracking network rack intake and delivery; working with onsite teams to request rack space, power and cooling for network racks and partnering with network engineers to ensure configurations are ready. Building higher‑level networking devices with ID‑Scaling peers. Physical Requirements Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds. Work in an environment that operates 24/7 with ability to participate in primary responder rotation and provide after‑hours support as needed. Work in cramped, elevated, and/or noisy environments. Bending, lifting, stretching, reaching, standing, and walking for up to 8+ hours a day. Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation. Travel Travel within and outside of the regional work area is required. A reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license are required. Qualifications 1+ years of computer networking experience. 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience with computer networking, Linux, hardware troubleshooting, repair, and cabling infrastructure best practices. Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system. Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment). Knowledge of networking protocols such as DNS, and TCP/IP. Industry standard certification (CompTIA, CCENT, Network+) or experience in a relevant field. Preferred Qualifications Can work in cramped spaces or in elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines. Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure. Experience with network troubleshooting tools (telnet, test‑netconnection, tracert, tracetcp, iperf, ntttcp, dig, packet capture tools).
