Jewelry Sales Associate

We are looking for an experienced, motivated Jewelry Sales Associate to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who is confident working with customers, comfortable selling higher-ticket merchandise, and understands the importance of building long-term customer relationships.

Our store carries fine jewelry, and other luxury merchandise. We are looking for someone who can provide excellent customer service while also being focused on closing sales and generating repeat business.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and provide professional, friendly service.

Assist customers with selecting jewelry, watches, diamonds, and other merchandise.

Build relationships with customers and develop repeat and referral business.

Explain product features, quality, pricing, and available options.

Follow up with customers regarding purchases, special orders, repairs, and layaways.

Maintain a strong knowledge of store inventory and available merchandise.

Process sales, payments, layaways, and customer transactions accurately.

Keep showcases clean, organized, and properly stocked.

Assist with inventory counts and merchandise control.

Properly handle and secure high-value merchandise.

Follow all store security procedures and company policies.

Work with other sales associates and management to meet store sales goals.

Maintain a professional appearance and attitude while representing the store.

Qualifications

Previous retail sales experience preferred.

Jewelry, watch, diamond, or luxury sales experience is a strong plus.

Strong communication and customer-service skills.

Comfortable approaching customers and closing sales.

Ability to build relationships and maintain a customer following.

Dependable, punctual, and professional.

Must be trustworthy and comfortable working around high-value merchandise.

Basic computer and point-of-sale system skills.

Ability to work weekends and other scheduled retail hours is a must.

What We’re Looking For

We are not looking for someone who simply stands behind the counter and waits for customers to make a decision. We want a salesperson who is motivated, outgoing, knows how to communicate with different types of customers, and understands how to turn opportunities into sales without being overly aggressive.

The right person will take ownership of their customers, follow up consistently, learn the merchandise, and actively work to grow their sales.

Compensation

Competitive hourly pay plus commission.

Compensation will be based on experience and sales ability.
