We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teachers to support students across a variety of educational settings in the Springfield, Missouri area. Opportunities are available at all age levels , including elementary, middle school, and high school. The ideal candidate is committed to helping students achieve academic, behavioral, social, and emotional success through individualized instruction and collaboration with families and school staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop,implement,andmonitorIndividualizedEducationPrograms(IEPs).

• Providespecializedinstructioninaccordancewithstudentgoalsandeducationalneeds.

• Collaboratewithgeneraleducationteachers,administrators,relatedserviceproviders,andfamilies.

• Maintainaccurateandcompliantspecialeducationdocumentation.

• Monitorstudentprogressandadjustinstructionalstrategiesasneeded.

• Implementbehaviorinterventionplansandclassroommanagementtechniques.

• ParticipateinIEPmeetings,teammeetings,andprofessionaldevelopmentopportunities.

• Fosterapositive,inclusive,andsupportivelearningenvironment.

• Ensurecompliancewithfederal,state,anddistrictspecialeducationregulations.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor'sDegreeinSpecialEducationorrelatedfield.

• ValidMissouriteachingcertificateoreligibilityforMissouricertification.

• Strongcommunication,organizational,andcollaborationskills.

• Commitmenttosupportingstudentswithdiverselearningneeds.

Preferred:

• PreviousSpecialEducationteachingexperience.

• ExperiencewithIEPdevelopmentandcasemanagement.

• Knowledgeofbehaviormanagementanddifferentiatedinstructionstrategies.
