Program Director, Alpha - $150,000/year USD

On-site at an Alpha campus location: Atlanta, GA; Oklahoma City, OK; Tulsa, OK; Austin, TX; Keller (Fort Worth), TX; The Woodlands (Houston), TX. W2 salary of $150,000 annually, paid weekly. Health benefits begin day one. Relocation assistance provided. The most supportive action you can take for a student who achieved 99% is to inform them they have not met the standard. Alpha students complete their academic learning in two hours daily using self-directed AI-enabled applications. There are no teachers, no lectures, and no classroom oversight of subject instruction. This structure allows you to focus on work that truly shifts their life path: facilitating high-energy workshops covering public speaking, concentration, and feedback; using live analytics to motivate students toward full goal attainment; and developing the Guides who support you in this work. A typical morning may begin with a one‑on‑one development meeting with a Guide, analyzing performance metrics and pinpointing areas where a cohort is underperforming. By midday you're facilitating a live student workshop, executing a structured activity on how to give and receive feedback. Afternoons transition into motivational work: engaging with individual students, identifying their intrinsic drivers, and leveraging Alpha's incentive framework to re‑engage a reluctant 7th grader. You maintain direct responsibility for your own cohort, ensuring you continue honing the same capabilities you're coaching others to build. You've likely been the outlier in traditional education: overly metric‑oriented, excessively outcome‑focused, too ready to question what's "expected" with students. Alpha may be the first environment where you truly belong. You'll begin coaching Guides immediately, and as you demonstrate results at scale, your authority over campus‑wide program excellence expands. What You Will Be Doing Facilitating one‑hour live workshops focused on life competencies (public speaking, concentration, feedback exchange) for elementary and middle school cohorts (K-8), executing Alpha's structured playbook rather than creating custom content Conducting motivational sessions leveraging student data and Alpha's reward mechanisms (campus currency, performance leaderboards) to achieve 100% goal attainment across your cohort Developing Guides in maintaining program consistency and standard enforcement, ensuring each coaching interaction yields specific improvement actions Sustaining direct leadership of your own student cohort while simultaneously building capacity in other Guides Monitoring student satisfaction metrics, goal completion percentages, and Guide performance indicators on a weekly basis to identify deterioration early What You Won’t Be Doing Delivering lectures or providing academic tutoring to students. Academic learning occurs through self‑directed applications without adult intervention in the learning space. Creating curriculum or developing original lesson materials. The playbook is established; success is measured by execution fidelity, not creative innovation. Developing Guides on pedagogical methods. Guides do not deliver instruction, so your coaching centers on enthusiasm, motivation, and accountability mechanisms. Creating accommodations when a student reaches 99% rather than 100%. Maintaining the standard demonstrates your belief in their capability to achieve it. Serving as the campus emotional safety net. Students receive genuine connection here, alongside candid feedback and meaningful accountability. Program Director Key Responsibilities Execute Alpha's three core commitments for every student in your cohort: they experience joy in learning, advance at twice the pace of conventional classrooms, and build authentic life competencies. Basic Requirements Available to work on-site at one of these locations: Atlanta, GA; Oklahoma City, OK; Tulsa, OK; Austin, TX; Keller (Fort Worth), TX; The Woodlands (Houston), TX (relocation assistance available) Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related discipline Minimum 5 years of professional experience in education, learning and development, coaching, youth leadership, or comparable domain Demonstrated history of managing a team of 5 or more adults, including responsibility for hiring and performance‑related termination decisions Hands‑on experience working with children ages 5‑14 within educational or developmental contexts Experience building, launching, or substantially scaling a program, team, business, educational institution, or initiative from inception Documented use of data and performance metrics to establish weekly objectives and inform strategic decisions, beyond simple reporting Legal authorization to work in the United States or Canada Nice‑to‑have Requirements Master's degree in Education, Psychology, Organizational Leadership, or related area Experience coaching athletics, leading outdoor or experiential education programs, managing camps, or directing youth ministry at a scale requiring cohort management and outcome measurement Transitioned from classroom instruction to program development or operations roles in EdTech, tutoring enterprises, youth‑focused nonprofits, or school intervention systems Early‑career pattern of exceptional individual achievement — scholastic, athletic, or professional — prior to transitioning into leadership positions Conviction that the existing education system requires fundamental reform and personal commitment to contributing to that transformation Working with us This is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $75 USD/hour, which equates to $150,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
