Assistant Nurse Manager RN Surgical Services

Job Location & Schedule Location: 10999 Narcoossee Rd, Orlando, FL 32832 Schedule: Full-time, Days, 40 hours per week Responsibilities Monitor performance of nursing staff, provide feedback, conduct appraisals, and implement improvement plans to ensure clinical and professional standards are met. Foster professional growth by identifying training needs, organizing educational programs, and mentoring staff to enhance their skills and career progression. Resolve conflicts among staff promptly and effectively using mediation techniques to maintain a positive work environment and ensure team cohesion. Lead quality improvement initiatives by analyzing data, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance patient care and operational efficiency. Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care. Mentor and precept new staff by providing hands-on training, feedback, and fostering professional development. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Leadership of unit staff in delivery of patient care. Leadership of performance improvement initiatives on the unit. Critical thinking related to unit operations and patient care delivery. Management of unit business, including assessment and management of financial practices and productivity. Assistance and mentorship of others with technology utilized on the unit. Excellent clinical practice knowledge, applied to the unit setting. Influence of relationships and behaviors to meet unit needs. Role model for professionalism on the assigned unit. Broad nursing knowledge, leadership, responsibility, authority, and independent functioning. Insight for employee growth and development, with impartial counseling skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Basic computer skills, including experience with an Electronic Health Record. Education Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Required). Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Preferred). Work Experience 1+ year charge nurse or relevant leadership experience (Preferred). 1+ year nursing experience within the acute care setting (Preferred). Licenses & Certifications Registered Nurse (RN) - Required. Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS) - Required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Required. Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) - Preferred. Physical Requirements Physical requirements details available at Pay Range $33.99 - $63.22 per hour.
